Reuse sections across pages: templates, global and linked

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Save a section once and reuse it, either as a copy you change each time or as a linked section that updates everywhere.

Build your footer, your "book a call" banner or your testimonial strip once, then drop it onto any page. You choose whether each copy stands alone or stays in sync.

Before you start

  • Time: 5 minutes.
  • You'll need: a finished section on a page.

Which kind do you need?

All three live in the builder under + > Sections.

Tab What it is Use it for
Pre-built Ready-made layouts by category: About, Blog, Contact, CTA, FAQ, Features, Footer, Hero, Pricing, Testimonials and more A quick starting point you'll rewrite
My Templates Sections you saved as Section Templates. Each insert is a separate copy A layout you'll change a little each time, like a blog post starter
Global Sections saved as Global Sections. Editing one updates every copy in that website or funnel Things that must match everywhere: header, footer, a booking banner

Universal Sections (shared across all your websites) shows as coming soon.

Insert a pre-built section

  1. Click + > Sections > Pre-built.
  2. Search with Search sections... or click a category chip, like Hero or CTA.
  3. Hover over a section and click + to add it. Then replace the words and images.

Save a section to reuse

  1. Click the section on the page.
  2. On the section's toolbar, click the Save as section template icon (a folder).
  3. In Save This Section, give it a clear name, like "Footer, main site".
  4. Choose Section Templates (independent copies) or Global Sections (linked copies).
  5. Click Save. It stays greyed out until you choose an option. A global section shows Global section saved.

Use a saved section

  1. On any page, click + > Sections.
  2. For a copy, open My Templates, find your section and click Insert Section.
  3. For a linked section, open Global, find it and click Insert Linked.

Global sections only appear in the website or funnel where you saved them.

Edit a linked section

When you click a linked section, the panel says "This block belongs to a linked section." Any edit updates every page that uses it.

  1. Click Edit Linked Section (the link icon on the section toolbar, or the button in the panel).
  2. Make your changes in the full-screen editor.
  3. Click Save. Close leaves without saving, and it doesn't ask first.

To take a linked section off one page only: open Layers, right-click the section and choose Remove Placement. The linked section and its other copies stay.

To change one copy without changing the rest: right-click the section and choose Detach. That copy becomes an ordinary section.

Check it worked

  • Your saved section appears under My Templates or Global with the name you gave it.
  • After editing a linked section, open another page that uses it. The change is there too.

If something's off

  • You changed a section and it changed everywhere: it was linked. Undo, or see Bring back an earlier version of a page. Use Detach next time for a one-page change.
  • Your global section isn't in another website: that's expected. Linked sections stay within their own website or funnel. Save a Section Template to use it elsewhere.
  • Move up, move down and hide are greyed out: they're disabled while a section is linked.
  • "This section could not load": click Reload now or refresh, then open it again.
  • The live page still shows the old version: see My live page doesn't match the editor.
