Choose where payments go (payment routing)
Tell Flourivate which payment account to use for checkouts, bookings and memberships, for real payments and for tests.
Connecting Stripe isn't quite the last step. Flourivate also needs to know which account to send each kind of payment to. Until you set a default, some checkouts can fail. (Free membership plan checkouts are failing right now even with routing set. See Known issues.)
Before you start
- Stripe is connected. See Connect Stripe, live and test mode.
Steps
- Go to Payments and open the Settings tab, then Payment routing.
- At the top, the first dropdown chooses which setup you're editing: Live (real payments) or Sandbox (test payments). They're separate, so you'll set both.
- With Live selected, check the row under it says Stripe: Connected.
- Under Global default, choose Stripe and click Save default.
- Switch the top dropdown to Sandbox and repeat steps 3 and 4.
Per-channel overrides (Payment Links, Invoices, Funnels, Courses, Communities and so on) are optional. Leave them on Not set and everything uses your global default.
Check it worked
- With each of Live and Sandbox selected, Global default shows Stripe and the Save default button is greyed out (nothing left to save).
If something's off
- "Not connected" next to Stripe in Sandbox: your test keys aren't connected. See Connect Stripe, live and test mode.
- A checkout says "Something went wrong on our end": check both Live and Sandbox have a global default, then try again in a private window.
