Payment went through but nothing happened

Last checked October 20, 2026

The money arrived in Stripe but the client got no access, no email, or your automation didn't run. Here's how to find out why.

Work through these in order.

  1. Check the payment reached Flourivate. Go to Settings > Integrations > Stripe and look at Recent events. Turn on Show all events to see everything Stripe sent. If the payment isn't there, Stripe isn't talking to this workspace: click Verify connection, and if it fails, reconnect your keys.
  2. Check the order. In Payments, find the order. If there's no order, the checkout wasn't linked to a product. Check the checkout form's product.
  3. Check the automation's filter. If a "Payment Received" workflow should have run, open it and check its trigger. A product filter must use the product as it appears in Flourivate (pick it from the list), not the Stripe product code. Open the workflow's trigger stats: "not in allowed list" means the filter didn't match.
  4. Check the contact. The buyer becomes a contact with the name, email and phone from the checkout. If their phone number already belongs to another contact, it won't be copied to the new one, to avoid duplicates.

Good to know

  • Payments made before a fix don't backfill. Run a fresh $1 test after any fix.
  • Stripe Checkout (Redirect) doesn't accept coupons. Use the embedded card checkout if you offer coupon codes.

Still stuck? Send us a request with the buyer's email, the time of purchase and a screenshot of the Stripe payment.
