Share a payment link

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Create a link you can text or email so a client can pay you, one time or monthly, without a sales page.

A payment link is the quickest way to get paid for something that doesn't need a page: a single session, a package you agreed on a call, a deposit. You make the link once and paste it anywhere.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Go to Payments > Links and click Create Payment Link (top right).
  2. Link Name: what this is for, for example "3-session package". Required.
  3. Description: optional. It shows on the checkout, so write it to the client.
  4. Under Pricing:
    • Price Source: leave it on Custom Amount to type a price.
    • Amount: the price in US dollars. Required.
    • Billing Type: One-time, or a recurring option for a monthly charge.
  5. Turn on Collect Address or Collect Phone only if you need them. Both are off by default. Fewer fields means more people finish paying.
  6. Redirect URL (optional): scroll down and paste the page buyers should see after paying, such as a thank-you page or your booking page.
  7. Click Create Link. It stays greyed out until Link Name and Amount are filled in.

Share it

On the link's row under Your Payment Links, click Copy, then paste it into an email, a text or your client's notes.

Each row shows the link's price, clicks and payments, so you can see whether people open it and pay. The cards at the top add it all up: Total Links, Total Clicks, Conversion Rate and Total Revenue.

Deleting a link breaks it

The red bin deletes the link for everyone you've sent it to. If you only want to change the price or wording, use the pencil instead.

Check it worked

  • The link shows under Your Payment Links marked active.
  • Open it in a private window. You should see the name, description and amount you set.

If something's off

  • Create Link is greyed out: fill in Link Name and Amount.
  • The buyer gets an error when paying: check Stripe shows Connected and that payment routing has a global default for Live. See Choose where payments go. If you set a per-channel route for Payment Links, check that one too.
  • The client wants to pay by bank transfer instead: set up an offline method. See Accept bank transfers, checks and other offline payments.
  • You need a course or program to unlock after payment: use a checkout and an automation instead of a bare link. See Sell a course.
