Send a contract or proposal for signature
Build a coaching agreement or proposal, add signature and payment fields, and send it to your client to sign.
Contracts and proposals live in Payments > Docs. You write the document once as a template, then send a copy to each new client to sign. A document can also show your pricing and collect payment.
Before you start
- Time: 30 minutes for your first template, 5 minutes per client after that.
- Have ready: your agreement text (coaching agreement, confidentiality, cancellation policy). If you have it as a PDF, you can upload it.
- The client is a contact with an email address.
Have your agreement reviewed
Flourivate gives you the tool for sending and signing. The wording of your agreement is yours. Have a professional review it for your practice and your state.
Step 1: Make a reusable template
- Go to Payments > Docs. You'll see Documents & Contracts.
- Click New and choose one:
- New Template to write a reusable agreement from scratch.
- Start from template library to start from a ready-made layout.
- Upload existing PDF to use the agreement you already have.
- Write or paste your text on the page. Use Add Elements on the left (the Blocks, Library and Layers tabs) to add headings, text and images.
- From the FIELDS group, drag in what your client fills in:
- Signature, Initials and Date Field for acceptance
- Text Field or Checkbox for anything they need to confirm
- Product List to show your package and price
- Payment or Card Details if they should pay as they sign
- Click Preview to check it, then Save.
Your templates show in the Template Library at the bottom of the Docs page.
Step 2: Send it to a client
- In the Template Library, click Use on your template. (Or click New > New Document for a one-off.)
- Add your client as the signer, with their email address.
- Fill in anything specific to them, such as start date or package.
- Click Send (top right).
If something is missing, Fix these before sending opens with a checklist. Items marked with a red cross still need attention:
- At least one signer with an email
- Valid recipient email addresses
- At least one signature field
- All required fields are placed on the page
- Document has a title
Click OK, fix those items, and click Send again.
Check it worked
- On the Docs page, the document shows under Waiting for others with a status such as sent, viewed or signed.
- Once everyone has signed, it moves to Completed.
If something's off
- Send keeps opening the checklist: add whatever has a red cross, usually a signer's email or a Signature field.
- You can't find a draft: open the Draft tab on the Docs page and click the document's title.
- The client says the link didn't arrive: check the email address on the signer, and ask them to check spam.
- You only need a price approved, not a signature: an estimate is lighter. See Send an estimate and turn it into an invoice.
