Create a session type: length, price, location

Last checked October 20, 2026

Set up each kind of appointment you offer, like a free discovery call or a paid coaching session, with its own booking link.

Each session type (Flourivate calls it a service) gets its own booking page and link. Most practices start with two: a free intro call and a paid session.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Go to Calendar and open the Services tab.
  2. Click New Calendar (or Edit on an existing service).
  3. On the General tab, fill in:
    • Service Name: what clients see, for example "Clarity Call".
    • Description: two or three warm sentences about what happens in the session.
    • Booking URL: a short, readable ending for the link, like clarity-call. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only. Leave it blank and the link uses a long ID instead.
    • Duration (minutes).
    • Base Price: leave at 0 for a free session.
    • Meeting Location Type: Phone Call, Physical Address, Custom Location (use this for a video link you always use) or Google Meet.
    • Meeting Location Details: the address, phone instructions or video link.
  4. Turn on Hide "Powered by" branding so the booking page shows only your brand.
  5. Optional: turn on Redirect after booking to send people to a thank-you or next-steps page.
  6. Click Save Changes.
  7. Open the Hours tab and set when this session can be booked, then Save Hours.

The other tabs, when you need them:

Tab Use it for
Hours When this session can be booked. Required. See Set when clients can book you.
Questions Extra questions on the booking form. See the note below.
Theme Colors for this booking page.
Pricing Deposits instead of full payment up front.
Packages Multi-session bundles.
Coupons Attach coupon codes clients can enter. Create the coupons first in Payments.

Back on Services, each service card shows its link (it starts with /book/). Use Copy booking link to share it, Open booking link to preview the page, and Get Embed Code to put the booking form on a page of your website.

Check it worked

  • Open the booking link in a private window, pick a day, and you see times.
  • Book a test appointment with your own email. It appears under Calendar > Appointments and you get the confirmation email.

If something's off

  • The booking link says "Calendar Not Available" or "Calendar Not Found": check the service card says Active (click Activate if not). If it's active and still shows this, public booking is switched off behind the scenes. There's no switch for it on your screen, so send us a request with the service name and we'll turn it on.
  • No times show: the session has no Hours for that day. See Set when clients can book you.
  • Zoom isn't in the list: Zoom isn't offered yet, so use Custom Location with your meeting link. See Add a video call link to your sessions.
  • Custom questions don't show on the form: that's a known issue. See Known issues.
