Sync with Google Calendar

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Send Flourivate bookings to your Google Calendar and stop clients booking over your personal events.

When you're done, new bookings land in your Google Calendar, and your Google events block those times on your booking page so you're never double-booked.

Before you start

  • Time: 10 minutes.
  • You need: the sign-in for the Google account that holds your calendar.
  • Using Outlook or Apple Calendar? Calendar sync connects to Google Calendar. If your calendar lives somewhere else, send us a request before you open booking and we'll talk through your options.

How sync works

Sync has three separate jobs. You choose the calendars for each one.

Setting What it does
Send appointments to Google Puts every Flourivate booking into the Google calendar you pick.
Check Google calendars for conflicts Busy times on these calendars are removed from your booking page.
Show and edit Google events in this calendar Shows these Google events on your Flourivate Calendar View.

Showing a calendar doesn't make it block bookings. If you want your family calendar to keep clients out of Saturday, it must be ticked under conflicts.

Step 1: Connect your Google account

  1. Go to Calendar > Sync. The Google Calendar card shows Not connected.
  2. Click Open Google Account Management.
  3. Connect your Google account and sign in.
  4. When Google asks, allow access to your calendar. Without it, sync can't work.
  5. Come back to Calendar > Sync and click Refresh calendar list.

Step 2: Choose your calendars

  1. Under Send appointments to Google, choose the calendar new bookings should go to. Your main calendar is usually right.
  2. Under Check Google calendars for conflicts, tick every calendar whose busy times should block bookings: work, personal, family.
  3. Decide on all-day events. By default, all-day events don't block bookings, so a "Mom's birthday" marker won't close your whole day. Turn on blocking for all-day busy events only if you use them for days off.
  4. Under Show and edit Google events in this calendar, tick any calendars you want to see alongside your sessions.
  5. Save your choices.

Google Meet links

With Google connected, you can choose Google Meet as a session's Meeting Location, so each booking gets its own link. See Create a session type.

Check it worked

  • Calendar > Sync shows your Google account and a connected status.
  • Book a test session with your own email. It appears in your Google calendar.
  • Add a test event to a conflict calendar in Google, then open your booking link in a private window. That time is no longer offered.

Sync isn't always instant. If something hasn't shown up after a few minutes, use Import Google busy events or the sync button to refresh.

If something's off

  • A Google event shows but clients can still book that time: its calendar is ticked to show but not under conflicts. Tick it under Check Google calendars for conflicts.
  • An all-day event isn't blocking the day: turn on blocking for all-day busy events, or add a blackout date. See Set when clients can book you.
  • A calendar is missing from the lists: click Refresh calendar list, and check you connected the right Google account.
  • "Calendar access is missing", "Permission denied" or "Token expired": reconnect through Open Google Account Management and allow calendar access again.
  • Bookings don't appear in Google: check a calendar is chosen under Send appointments to Google. Bookings made before you connected won't copy over.
  • The wrong Google account is syncing: if you connected more than one, sync follows the one marked primary. Change it in Google account management.
  • Calendar Settings says Connected but Sync says Not connected: trust the Sync tab and reconnect there.
