Create a QR code
Make a branded QR code that opens your booking page, review link or website, and download it to print.
A QR code on a business card, workshop slide or handout lets people book, review or sign up from their phone in seconds. When you're done, you'll have a code downloaded and tested.
Before you start
- Time: 5 minutes.
- Have ready: the full web address the code should open, for example your booking page, your main review link (see Set up your review links) or a free resource page. Open it in a private browser window first to make sure it works.
- Optional: your logo, for the middle of the code.
Steps
- In the sidebar, under MARKETING, click QR Codes.
- Click Create QR Code at the top right.
- Choose Website as the type.
- Give it a name you'll recognize later, like "Business card: booking page".
- Paste the destination address. Include
https://. - Style it: pick colors and marker shapes, and add your logo if you like.
- Check the preview, then save it.
- On the new card, click Download to get a PNG image.
Keep it scannable
Dark code on a light background scans best. If you add a logo, keep it small. Before you print 500 cards, scan the code with two different phones.
Check it worked
- The new card shows your name, the type, the date and the destination address along the bottom.
- Scanning the downloaded image with your phone opens the right page.
If something's off
- It opens the wrong page. Read the destination line at the bottom of the card. Edit the code and fix the address, then download it again.
- It won't scan. Use more contrast between the code and background, make the logo smaller, or print it larger (at least about 2 cm or 1 inch wide).
- You want to know how many people scanned it. The cards don't show scan counts. Use a link you can track instead, such as a page only the code points to, and watch that page's visits.
- A type you want is greyed out. Use Website and point it at a page with the details.
- You changed the page address. The printed code still opens the old address. Edit the code's destination if you can, or keep the old address working.
