See and get notified about form submissions

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

Get an email when someone fills in your form, send them a confirmation, and find, search or export every submission.

Never miss an inquiry. When you're done, you'll get an email for each new submission, the person gets a confirmation, and you'll know where to find every answer later.

Before you start

Step 1: Turn on email notifications

  1. Go to Forms and open the form.
  2. Click Settings and scroll to Email Notifications. Open it if it's collapsed.
  3. Switch on what you want:
    • Submission Notifications: "Receive an email each time someone submits this form." With it off, the card says no one is emailed.
    • Confirmation Email: "Automatically send an email to the person who submitted the form."
    • Require Double Opt-In For Email Marketing: see Confirm email consent with double opt-in.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Each form has its own switches, so repeat this on every form you rely on.

Want a fully branded follow-up?

For a confirmation that looks like the rest of your emails, with your next steps and links, use a workflow that starts on "Form Submitted" for this form and sends your own email template.

Step 2: Find submissions

For one form: open the form and click the Submissions tab at the top.

For every form at once: on the Forms page, click the Submissions tab. Each row shows the date, the form, the person's name and email or phone, and for checkout forms the Payment Status (paid, pending or failed).

  • Use the search bar to find a submission by form name, email or name.
  • Click a row to see every answer, the time it came in, and the contact it's linked to.
  • Click Export CSV to download the submissions you're looking at, for example to keep a record or share with a colleague.

Surveys show their submissions as Survey Responses, with how many answers each response has.

Step 3: See how your forms perform

The Analytics tab on the Forms page shows views, submissions and conversion rates. Attribution shows where submissions came from, once you use tracked links. See Track where your leads come from.

Check it worked

  • Submit your form once with a test email. You get the notification, and the test address gets the confirmation.
  • The test appears in Submissions.

If something's off

  • No notification email: check Submission Notifications is on and you clicked Save Settings. Check spam. Make sure your workspace email is set up and your account has funds.
  • The submitter got no confirmation: check Confirmation Email is on, and ask them to check spam and promotions.
  • A submission is missing: check the form's own Submissions tab, and that you're in the right workspace.
  • You deleted a submission by mistake: deleted submissions can't be recovered. The contact record stays.
