Set up sending email for your workspace

Last checked October 20, 2026

Get invites, confirmations and campaigns sending from your own domain, and know what to check when they stop.

Every email Flourivate sends for you (portal invites, booking confirmations, receipts, campaigns) goes through your workspace's email setup. Out of the box, your workspace can send from a shared Flourivate address. For the best deliverability, and so emails come from your brand, add your own sending domain.

See where you stand

Go to Email in the sidebar and open the Overview tab. Under Email setup you'll see four steps:

Step What it means Who handles it
1. Service ready The email service is switched on for your workspace. Flourivate (already done)
2. Wallet funded The sending service has billing on file. Each email you send uses a little of your usage credits. Flourivate handles this step. Keep your own credits topped up (see Add usage credits).
3. Sending domain At least one fully verified domain to send from. You, with the steps below
4. Warming up New domains start with low daily volume that grows over a few weeks. Automatic

Add your own sending domain

  1. Go to Email > Domains and click Add Sending Domain.
  2. Base Domain: your root domain only, for example yourpractice.com.
  3. Sending Prefix: leave it as send (emails will send from send.yourpractice.com). This keeps email separate from your website.
  4. Provider: leave it on Workspace Connector.
  5. Click Add Domain. Flourivate shows the DNS records to add.
  6. Add each record at your domain company exactly as shown, using the short Name (GoDaddy adds your domain for you). See Give your client portal its own address for a walkthrough of adding records.
  7. Back on Email > Domains, click Details on your domain. When it's ready, it shows Ready to send. SPF and DKIM must pass. DMARC is recommended; it won't block sending, but inboxes trust you more with it. See Keep your emails out of spam.

Check it worked

  • Your domain's Details on Email > Domains shows Ready to send.
  • On Email > Overview, all four setup steps show as done.
  • Send yourself a test (for example, invite yourself to your portal with a second email address) and check it arrives, not in spam.

If something's off

  • An invite or email says "email not sent": the most common cause is low funds (step 2). Email, texts, calls and AI use your workspace's usage credits. If something stops sending, check your balance and add credits. See Add usage credits.
  • Emails land in spam: your domain may still be warming up. Keep early sends small and personal, and avoid sending to large old lists in the first weeks.
  • A record won't verify: compare each Name and Value character by character. See Domain says "DNS check failed".
