AI credits and billing

Last reviewed October 21, 2026

How AI use is paid for, where to see what it costs, and what to do when AI stops working because credits ran low.

Every time an assistant answers, a workflow uses AI, or you generate content, it uses a little AI. That use is paid from your workspace's usage credits (your wallet). You don't need your own AI account or API key.

Before you start

  • AI, texts, calls and email sending all draw from the same usage credits.
  • Usage is paid from your workspace's usage credits, which you buy in Settings > Usage Credits. See Add usage credits.

Steps

See what AI is costing you

  1. Go to AI Supercenter > Usage. The cards show AI Runs, Success Rate, Estimated Cost and Avg Duration for the date range you pick.
  2. Scroll to Recent AI Runs to see each run's type, status, model, tokens and cost. Use Export to download the list.
  3. Go to AI Supercenter > Settings > Credits & Usage to see your Wallet Balance, AI Spend This Month, Recent AI Spend and Budget Controls.
  4. For all your charges together (AI, phone, text), go to Settings > Usage Credits > Usage & Costs.

Keep costs down

  • Keep assistant replies short. Set a short AI Personality profile and a low Maximum response length for text replies.
  • Test with a handful of questions, not hundreds.
  • Choose Draft only or Suggest reply modes where you review replies anyway.
  • Phone calls use AI and call minutes together, so a long call costs more than a long chat.

About bring-your-own AI keys

Some older workspaces connected their own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key. That option is being retired, and new workspaces don't have a place to add one. AI now runs through Flourivate and your usage credits. If you had a key connected and AI stopped working, check your credit balance first.

Check it worked

  • Credits & Usage shows a balance above zero.
  • A test question to your assistant appears in Recent AI Runs with status completed.

If something's off

  • "Not enough credits" or AI features stop working: your balance is low. Send us a request and we'll sort it out, then try again.
  • A run failed: failed runs usually show $0 cost. Check the run's status in Recent AI Runs, then try again.
  • Costs are higher than expected: look at which assistant or workflow has the most runs in Usage. One action can involve several AI steps.
  • AI finished but nothing appeared: reload the page and check the run's status before running it again, so you don't pay twice.
  • Budget Controls says "Unavailable": your balance and spend figures are still accurate. Ask us if you want a spending cap.
