Choose your notifications and get alerts on your phone
Decide which events notify you in Flourivate, and turn on push alerts in your browser or on your phone's home screen.
When you're done, you'll hear about new messages and bookings without keeping Flourivate open, and you won't be pinged about things you don't care about.
Before you start
- Time: 5 minutes per device.
- You need: a browser that allows notifications (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari). On a phone, you'll add Flourivate to your home screen first.
- Your settings are yours. Each team member chooses their own notifications.
Step 1: Open your notification settings
- Click the bell at the top right. The Notifications panel opens with your recent alerts and Mark all as read.
- Click the gear in the panel. Notification Settings opens.
There's no notifications card in Settings. It's always the bell, then the gear.
Step 2: Pick what notifies you
Events are grouped (Messages, Team, Assignments, Workflows, CRM). Each event has two switches:
- In-app: shows in the bell panel.
- Push: pops up on your computer or phone, even when Flourivate isn't open.
Good ones to have on for push: Inbox messages, Widget chat messages and Conversation assignments. Turn on Workflow failures so you know when an automation breaks.
Notification sounds turns the alert sound on or off without changing anything else.
Step 3: Turn on push for this device
- On a phone: open app.flourivate.com in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen (Safari: Share > Add to Home Screen; Chrome: the menu > Add to Home screen or Install app). Open Flourivate from the new icon.
- In Notification Settings, turn on Enable push notifications.
- When your browser or phone asks, click Allow.
Push is set up per device. Do this on your laptop and your phone separately.
Check it worked
- The push setup shows as enabled in Notification Settings.
- Ask a friend to send a message to your website chat or book a test session. An alert pops up.
If something's off
- No push alerts at all: your browser or phone is blocking notifications for Flourivate. Allow them in your browser's site settings (or your phone's Settings > Notifications), reload, and turn push on again.
- It says Flourivate isn't installed: on a phone, add it to your home screen and open it from that icon, then try again.
- Alerts show in the bell but don't pop up: Push is off for that event. Turn it on in Notification Settings.
- You get alerts on one device but not another: push is per device. Turn it on on each one.
- The bell says 9+: the count stops at 9. Open the panel to see them all.
