Connect your website domain

Last checked October 20, 2026

Point your own domain (yourpractice.com) at your Flourivate website, step by step, with GoDaddy as the example.

When you're done, people who type your domain land on your Flourivate website, with the secure padlock.

Before you start

  • Time: 15 minutes, plus up to an hour for the change to spread.
  • You'll need: a login to the company where you bought your domain, and a website in Sites with at least one published page.
  • If your domain points at an old website (Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi and so on), that site will stop showing as soon as you change the records below. Plan the switch for a quiet time, and have your new pages published first.

Step 1: Add the domain in Flourivate

  1. Go to Settings > Domains and click Add Domain.
  2. Choose Website / Funnel and click Continue.
  3. Type your domain with no https:// and no www, for example yourpractice.com, and click Add Domain.
  4. Flourivate shows the records to add. Keep this tab open. You'll see three:
Type Name (Host) What it does Needed?
A @ Sends yourpractice.com to your website. Copy the number (an IP address) Flourivate shows. Yes
CNAME www Sends www.yourpractice.com to the same place. Value is your domain. Recommended
TXT starts with an underscore, ends in -verify Proves the domain is yours. Copy the name and value exactly. Yes

Step 2: Add the records in GoDaddy

  1. Sign in to GoDaddy, go to My Products, and click DNS next to the domain.
  2. The A record. GoDaddy usually already has an A record with Name @ (often marked "Parked"). Click the pencil to edit it and replace the value with the number from Flourivate. Don't add a second @ A record; there should be only one.
  3. The www record. If a CNAME with Name www already exists, edit it so its value is your domain. If not, click Add New Record, choose CNAME, Name www, and paste the value.
  4. The TXT record. Click Add New Record, choose TXT, and paste the Name and Value from Flourivate.
  5. Save.

Turn off forwarding

If the domain has Forwarding turned on in GoDaddy (Domain Settings > Forwarding), turn it off. Forwarding overrides the records above.

Step 3: Verify, then attach it to your website

  1. In Settings > Domains, click Verify DNS on your domain's row. If it still says DNS configuration required, wait 10 minutes and try again.
  2. When it shows Live, go to Sites > the website's ⋯ > Settings > Domain.
  3. Click Attach Domain and pick your domain from Available Domains. Only verified domains show up here.
  4. If this is your main address, go back to Settings > Domains and click Set as primary on its row.

Check it worked

  • Open your domain in a private browser window. Your homepage loads, with the padlock.
  • Try the www. version too. It should land on the same site.
