Chat with your team in Team Chat
Message your assistant or team inside Flourivate, separate from client conversations.
If you have an assistant, an associate coach or a VA, Team Chat gives you a private place to talk shop without leaving Flourivate. Clients never see it.
Before you start
- Time: 2 minutes.
- You need: at least one teammate with their own user in your workspace. See Add a team member and choose what they can see.
Steps
- In the sidebar, under COMMUNICATIONS, click Conversations.
- Click the Team Chat tab at the top of the list, next to External.
- The first time only: you'll see Welcome to Team Chat. Click Create #general channel. Flourivate creates #general right away and posts a welcome message in it.
- Click the message box at the bottom (Type a message... (@ to mention)) and type your message.
- To get a teammate's attention, type @ and pick their name.
- Send it.
Check it worked
- #general shows under Channels in the Messages list.
- Your message sits under Today in the channel.
If something's off
- You don't see the Team Chat tab. Your user may not have access to Conversations. Ask us.
- A teammate can't see your message. Check they're a user in this same workspace, not a different one.
- You meant to message a client. Click External to go back to client conversations.
Use the right tool for client notes
Team Chat is for general team talk. For a note about one client conversation, use Internal Comment in that conversation, so the context stays with it. See Read and reply to messages in your inbox.
